At Sattahip Naval Base—the largest naval installation in Thailand and a key strategic site for the Royal Thai Navy—Rust-Oleum protective coatings were applied to the exterior roof and shell of a large storage tank covering 2,500 m². The coating system was designed to provide long-term corrosion resistance under harsh coastal and industrial conditions.
The specification included one coat of Rust-Oleum No.1069 (75 microns DFT) as primer, a second coat of Rust-Oleum No.1069 (75 microns DFT) for added build, followed by a topcoat of Rust-Oleum No.473 (100 microns DFT). All layers were applied using an airless spray system to ensure a smooth, uniform finish and optimal protective performance.
